The Class of 6.3 @ Venice Beinnale

Venice, Italy
2016

The theme of the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale is “Reporting from the Front,” posing the question: how can architecture meet the people’s needs when facing the constraints placed by their existing environment.

Thailand Pavilion presents ‘The Class of 6.3’ Rebuilding 9 Schools after 2014 Chiang Rai Earthquake, which tells the story of how an earthquake in the Northern Province of Thailand not only led to a massive emergency reconstruction of 9 educational facilities, but also afforded an entire community the opportunity to rethink the role of architecture in the shaping of Thai rural education.

The architects of the nine schools presented including Department of ARCHITECTURE Co.,Ltd. are also the designers of this exhibition.
